Ms. Leonard’s prodigious past as co-founder and former President of the Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA), long-time advocate, and thirty years of practice is reflected in this beautifully written and heart-felt narrative. Called “inspiring, often hilarious, always touching and full of beans,” Ms. Leonard’s work will no doubt become a classic in birth literature.
